It’s easier to do something difficult than something boring. Boredom eats away at the soul and deprives a life of its genuine self. But keeping boredom at bay is easy. Do something which you do well – and helps others. Do something which improves you. Improving upon yourself – mind, body, soul – is the great journey maker. It is the tide upon which all success falls or rises. Success comes in many forms and is as individual to a person as the person is individual. There is no need to compete with others – only yourself. This is not to create a life of perfectionism, strictness, harshness, or any other extreme. It will build up fortitude and temperance. It will help to grow you in virtue.
