Let the past remain in the past. If you do look back, do so only to see where you’ve been, where you are, and where you want to go. Do not stay there in unhappiness. For what you have now is your reality. It is from here that all things will grow and change. It is from here that you are truly living. Let go of the need to control. Discipline yourself and be a model of truth, love, honesty, and gentleness. Do not suppose to change others. They will change as they are ready to grow. Reassure all that they are doing their best. Implore them, as I implore you, to not compare themselves with anyone. Put the spark of hope back in their eyes as has been done for you.
