Dreaded commitments… things that are leeching the life out of you. Put them aside. They do not build up anyone if you are being drained. You will not enter those places with your highest values of love. The work of the Kingdom is then thwarted. Remember… “Do not grieve the Holy Spirit”. It is not selfish to back out of the things that bring you pain. Yes, there is suffering, but you do not have to endure it at an endless rate. Pull away from those things that are pulling you down and away from yourself. You cannot build up while you are being torn down.
